-- SSH Tectia は、SAP 社の大規模かつ異機種混合のサーバ環境を保護 --

エンタープライズ セキュリティー ソリューションとエンドツーエンドのコミュニケーション セキュリティの世界的なプロバイダーであり、Secure Shell プロトコルの開発者でもあるＳＳＨ コミュニケーションズ・セキュリティ社（本社：フィンランド、以下ＳＳＨ社）は本日、ビジネスソフトウェア ソリューションの世界的なプロバイダーである SAP AG 社（以下SAP社）が、内部ネットワークで安全なデータ通信を行うため、SSH Tectia を採用したことを発表しました。

SAP社のネットワークは、Windows、Unix、Linux および IBM メインフレームなど、様々なプラットフォームによって構成されています。SSH Tectia は、そのネットワーク内のシステム管理、ファイル転送、またその他のアプリケーション接続に、暗号化および認証機能を提供するエンタープライズ向けのセキュリティ ソリューションです。今年の 1 月に SSH Tectia 製品の最初の配備プロジェクトが行われ、SAP社のデベロッパーネットワークにおける 1,700 台の Windows サーバに SSH Tectia製品がインストールされました。

SAP社がネットワーク内部のデータ通信をセキュアにするために SSH Tectia を選んだ主な理由は、総所有コストにあります。 SAP社は、広範囲な製品評価を行いましたが、オープンソース ソフトウェアを含む競合製品は、製品の維持およびサポートコストが高く、また SSH Tectia が備えているエンタープライズ向けの機能が欠けていると判断しました。
